We are seeking a talented PHP developer to join our dynamic team. As a PHP developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining web applications and websites using PHP and related technologies. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, front-end developers, and back-end developers, to deliver high-quality, responsive, and user-friendly web solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Web Application Development: Develop and maintain web applications, websites, and backend services using PHP and related technologies.
- Coding and Testing: Write clean, well-structured, and efficient PHP code. Conduct thorough testing to identify and fix bugs, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Database Integration: Integrate databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) with PHP applications, design and optimize database queries, and ensure data integrity.
- Front-End Collaboration: Collaborate with front-end developers to implement user interfaces and ensure seamless integration between the front-end and back-end components.
- Security: Implement security best practices to protect web applications against common security vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure scalability for high-traffic websites and applications.
- Version Control: Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code repositories and collaborate with team members.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including code comments, system architecture, and API documentation.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and challenges as they arise during development and in production environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a PHP developer, with a strong portfolio of web applications and projects.
- Proficiency in PHP and related web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SCSS, bootstrap framework).
- Experience with PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Slim, Symfony) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of database design and SQL.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus.
- Knowledge in accounting and financial reporting would be an added advantage.
- Understanding of web security best practices.
